Moms and Toddlers 1 - 2 yrs old

Our workshops focus on having fun time with the toddlers while providing them with a range of stimulating activities, both individually and as a group in order to help the child explore and experience through touch music and movement. We use specially selected educational programs and equipment for this age group to encourage early childhood development and to stimulate the senses.

The program is one and half hour long and it is divided into 4 periods:

  • Individual exploration time: this includes Gross motors tactile and creative/messy play.

This is the time for you and your child to explore together age appropriate activities for sensory stimulation particularly Tactile (touch) and Kinetic motor skills (movement). This lays the basis for further cognitive and perceptual motor skills. Gross motors are important part of muscle tone development as well as strengthening core muscles. Creative and messy play provides the child with time to discover colours, shapes and explore through different craft activities. Messy play and the tactile ponds help the child with learning about their body and the world. Tactile stimulation is important part of developing concentration, stimulating fine motors and understanding object’s property.

  • Group time: this includes activities such as Play Dough (helps child settle down and satisfy tactile experience as well as improve fine motor skills. Group time includes body awareness activities- often done with music and songs, Focused activities- an extensive array of specially selected educational equipment to aid sensory stimulation and improve early childhood skills.

  • Free play/ snack time: out door play- time to enjoy free play and social time for both mums and children.

  • Music time-:Songs and movements especially chosen to enhance sensory input such as rhythm, language, vestibular stimulation, equilibrium response as well as exploring different musical instruments and body movements (fast slow etc.)

We end our time2gether with quite time and  a story.
